Man clubs father to death in W/R

A middle aged man has done what could only be described by any right thinking Ghanaian as unthinkable for killing his father under a cold blooded circumstances at Koakyire, a small farming community near Atobiase in the Wassa East District of the Western Region.
The suspect, Kwesi Kaya (in his late 30s) was said to have committed this cruel and atrocious act over the weekend.
A resident who recounted the incident to www.233times.net said the suspect had wanted to attack a neighbour without any provocation. However, his father, Daa Adjei about 70, who was on his dinning table and was about to eat rushed to prevent his son, only for the son to rather vent his spleen on the poor father hitting him with a piece of wood he was brandishing. The father gave up the ghost soon after being rushed to the Praso Government Hospital.
The son has been arrested and he’s currently in police custody at Wassa Atobiase whilst the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Praso Hospital Morgue for autopsy.
Amazingly, no relative has been able to go to the police to assist in investigation.
