PHOTO: Notorious criminal finally grabbed

c9e15e7813a6b55543560597405b5237_LA private security man who has been on the wanted list of the police since May 2014 for his alleged involvement in a series of crimes, including murder, has been grabbed.

For some months now, the police have been hunting the 23-year-old Kofi Asaadu, alias K2, for robbery, rape, arson, among others.

Crimes

Enumerating the crimes which the police had recorded against the suspect,?the Accra Regional?Police Commander, Mr Christian Tetteh Yohuno, said Asaadu allegedly assaulted and raped a woman on July 18, 2014.

Two days later, he was alleged to have emptied a truck load of goods that was being transported to Techiman in the Brong Ahafo Region but had developed a fault at the Taifa Junction in?Accra.

And on July 22, 2014, Asaadu allegedly murdered a woman, Adjeiwaa Otu, alias Yaa Baby, in her kiosk at Taifa.

“He then went into hiding and the police have been looking for him since then,” Mr Yohuno said.

While the police were searching for the suspect, he resurfaced on January 9, 2015.

In his latest crime, Asaadu is alleged to have attacked a man, identified as Richard Boamah, for befriending he, Asaadu’s girlfriend.

Boamah however managed to escape unhurt from the suspect who was armed with a sharp machete.

Asaadu then set fire to Boamah’s kiosk.
