PHOTO: WANTED: Woman Steals GH¢ 470,000

A 37 year old woman is on the wanted list of the Ghana Police Service for stealing GHC 470,000 from a reputable financial company. On 4th January, 2014, the suspect Joyce Oduro who was an Investment Officer with the said company in Accra, received a cheque of GHC 470,000 on behalf of the company.

She is said to have opened an account with a similar name and deposited the cheque into it. She was arrested on April 2014 during an audit inspection and handed over to the police.

But the suspect is currently wanted by the Adabraka Police after she vanished into thin air and her whereabouts unknown after receiving a police enquiry bail.

She has been described as someone who is fair in complexion and hails from Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana.

A release issued by the Chief Superintendent of the Adabraka Police, Mr. Cephas Kofie, has it that Joyce Oduro could either be hiding in Accra, Aflao, Takoradi, Sunyani, Sefwi, Kumasi or Elubo.
