A popular event organizer, Albert Appiah popularly known as Kinto Rothmans was assaulted by Nima boys for attempted sodomy. A video on the attack on Kinto has gone viral prompting the Police to act.

Narrating how the incident took place, ACP Jango said: “He had some friendship with one Salim Abubakar. They used to visit each other and they became friends through social media so they got close.”

“He came to visit him as he always does and Salim to have a one on one chat with him in private so they stood by the victim’s car so from nowhere, four people sat at the back seat alleging that he was sodomizing the other guy.

Meanwhile, they were not sitting in front of the car and this Salim never complained that he had been sodomized.”

The suspects then beat him up mercilessly and carried Kinto from one location to the other until they took him to an ATM machine and asked him to slot in his card and give them [suspects] some ransom.

ACP Jango also hinted that the suspect, Barry Abu will be processed for court on Wednesday.

He explained saying, “we are sending this man to court because nobody has reported any unnatural knowledge case to us. What we are handling as you see now is assault on this man.”

Kinto Rothmans is the founder of ‘Get Familiar,’ the organisers of ‘Friday Friends,’ a weekly event at Silver Lounge at the Accra Mall.
