VIDEO: Kanye West burst into tears during BBC interview

kanye-west-cries-445x330 and excused himself from the microphone during a radio interview on BBC Radio 1 on Thursday.

He was talking about his mentor and fashion professor Louise Wilson, who died in 2014.

Referring to her as the “greatest fashion instructor of all time,” Kanye West recounted the last time he saw her.

He said “We had dinner at Hakkasan, which is my favourite restaurant in London”

“I think she knew that she was going to pass, and she just wanted to give me some words of advice moving forward, and she was asking me about my daughter, asked me about my wife … and she said, you know, ‘So many students, they don’t give it their all, and the problem is, soon as they do anything halfway good when they’re two-years-old, three-years-old, their parents clap.’”

“ … She just looked at me and she said, ‘Kanye, don’t clap.’”

Soon after saying that Kanye choked up, covered his eyes with his hands and began crying.

He then left the studio to compose himself.
