A male amputee was nearly lynched at Adesua, a suburb of Assin Fosu in the Central region for allegedly stealing panties Sunday.

The unidentified physically challenged man was said to have taken the panties off a dry line in a female hostel in the area.

Patricia Offei, an eye witness said she suspected the amputee because he was acting very funny.

“I asked him what he was doing in the hostel  he told me he was looking for the Pentecost Church in the area so I directed him but when he took some few steps, two of the stolen panties fell from his pocket” she added.

Also, the lady whose panty was stolen expressed shock at the conduct of the disabled man.

Though the culprit claims he uses the panties to satisfy his sexual desire, Patience Enti beleives it is for ritual purposes.

Patience Enti said the man who was nearly lynched by residents was handed over to the Assin Fosu police.
