Don’t compare Kofi Wayo and I; he’s empty – Ken Agyapong

Assin Central Member of Parliament Kennedy Agyapong has described fellow maverick politician Charles Kofi Wayo as an “empty” person.

“I invest. Kofi wayo [just] talks. He is empty,” Mr Agyapong told Bola Ray on Starr Chat on Starr 103.5FM Wednesday.

He made the comment when a listener sent in a text message comparing him to Mr Wayo, founder of the United Renaissance Party (UFP).

Both politicians are seen as rich Ghanaian businessmen. They are also noted for their maverick style of politicking.

The two men also stayed in the United States for years doing business and returned home to do politics. They are both known for their plain-talking nature.

Despite the things they share in common, Mr Agyapong said Mr Wayo is neither a rich man nor a smart investor as himself.
