Anytime Ghana Music Awards is near, he is tainted by unknown defamers to ruin his chances of winning an award, Guru has carefully observed. The Rapper this year has diverted that consistent yearly occurrence with a collaboration with a colleague heavy weight Rapper, Sarkodie.
Guru and Sarkodie have finished recording a new song titled ‘Baggy Jeans.’ According to Publicist of Guru, Nana Kwesi Coomson, the song is a hip hop genre and it will be released ahead of Ghana Music Awards. “The song was to be released last week but the team decided to strategically release it on a good date, which would be before Ghana Music Award” the Publicist confirmed.
“When you are talking about Rappers to boast of in Ghana, the first two names which come into mind are Sarkodie and Guru so when they are on a song, you know the result right; a dynamite. This is a song which is a real hip-hop. The country has missed hip-hop songs for some time and the two have decided to quench the excessive thirst of hip-hop fans and fans of good music,” Coomson said.
Guru has been nominated in the flagship category, ‘Artist of the Year’ at the upcoming Ghana Music Awards.
Guru is known for hit songs like Mpaebo, Pooley, Pooley Swag, Lapaz Toyota, Kpa kpa Kpa Movement, among others. Guru and Sarkodie have collaborated on songs like ‘How Far’ and ‘Ma me nsei mu’
