Lesbians in Odorkor under attack

Lesbians in the Odorkor suburb of Accra are now under attack from their neighbours who see their acts as affront to society.A young lady who identified herself as a known lesbian said that a squad of young men unleashed terror on her and a colleague last Sunday.

She continued that the squad beat them to pulp and destroyed some of their valuables.

Odorkor lesbians are not alone as the Teshie community has also been in the news for similar attacks on gays threatening to visit more mayhem on them if they dare openly come out and confess their sexual orientation.

The attacks on the lesbian community, she said has been incessant. ‘The guys attacked us because they said we are lesbians…we cannot even sit in public for long…,” she said.
