Men invading Mawuli School girls’ dormitory

Unidentified young men are reportedly invading the girls’ dormitory of Mawuli School in Ho.


        The men allegedly jump over the School’s fence wall close to the dormitory and harass the female students at dawn.



        Mr Gameli Ahorlu, Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Chairman of the School told a general meeting of the Association on Saturday.



        He described the situation as worrying and underscored the need for the PTA to raise the fence wall with a security device to protect the girls.



      A female Tutor told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that quite often, the girls shout for help claiming to have spotted men around their dormitories.



       She said last term; two men were arrested near the female dormitory smoking a substance believed to be marijuana.



       The Tutor said a female student recently escaped narrowly with a torn nightgown having been attacked by a young man while walking towards the urinal at dawn.



      A third year female student told the GNA that sometimes, unidentified young men write their mobile phone numbers on the dormitory doors and walls, inviting the female students for sex.
