In an interview, Mr Okudzeto said the story, which was purportedly signed by Nana Addo and allegedly sent by Perry himself, is a hoax and should be treated with contempt.
“Someone cloned the party’s e-mail address and sent the fabricated story to media houses. Nana Addo attended the Bawumia lecture today where he spoke about the things he will do when elected into office as far as IMF package was concerned,” he said.
According to him, a fake signature of his was appended on the letter. He made it known that those who receive e-mails from the party knows how his signature looks like and there was no way the one on the forged letter could be his.
Mr Okudzeto believes it was an intentional move by the party’s political opponent to divert the minds of Ghanaians from the lecture which was given by Dr Bawumia.
He therefore advised the general public to ignore the story because Nana Akuffo Addo still remains the party’s flagbearer.
