IMG_20150307_164112Ruff n Smooth was on ‘OC Showbiz Review’ on Skyy Power FM in Takoradi last Saturday to promote their new single ‘Tolotolo baby’ which features Wizboy from Nigeria.

On the most celebrated and matured weekly entertainment show, the Artistes mentioned Ghanaian Artistes who are heard more outside the shores of Ghana. Undeniably, Ruff n Smooth is a duo promoting Ghana Music abroad which is evident in their numerous awards received in Canada, Nigeria, Liberia etc.

The duo in chorus and in order of which Artistes are making Ghana proud abroad mentioned Fuse ODG. According to them, “when you travel outside Ghana, you hear FUSE ODG more. His songs travel very far. Anywhere we go if there is any Ghanaian Artiste who is loud, it is Fue ODG.” Ruff n Smooth mentioned Sarkodie and R2Bees as the other two names who are making the country proud abroad.

In the interview, Ruff n Smooth touched on Ghana Music Awards, stating that, they were surprised to see Castro’s name missing in ‘Artiste of the Year’ category. They further expressed shock in the ‘Discovery of the Year’ category which did not also feature Kofi Kinaata as well as Yaa Pono’s ‘Amen’ which was not nominated.

They advised colleague Artistes, “You will be disappointed as an Artiste if you focus on Ghana Music Awards. Make good music and don’t focus on Ghana Music Awards.”
