There are so many loopholes in Ghana Music – Charly D

bbay song cover shoot2-4354-EditBudding Artiste and the future pride of Ghana music, Charly D has identified a lot of loopholes in the growing Ghana Music and until those loopholes are sealed, the hardworking Ghanaian Artistes would be working in vain.

Born Charlotte Derban, Charly D says even though the Artistes in Ghana are doing well and she admires their works, she believes a lot need to be done. According to her, most Artistes take their career for granted and do not dominate most sectors in the industry.

“Any serious Artiste should have a personal publicist, DJ and personal Manager. These three core people in a team are mostly undermined by most Artistes in Ghana. We see how many Artistes suffer media bashes because of an interview he/she granted. If you have a Publicist, he/she will be in charge of all what is to be public and the stories about you in the system would be even” Charly D shared her worry.

Asking her what she is doing right, the alumnus of Ahantaman Girls Secondary School revealed that, “I already have a personal Manager, Publicist and DJ. I have a very good Manager who understands the industry so well that, he sees me as a product who could be in all sectors of Showbiz. I’m already in the movie industry and doing music as well. I am about to venture into other sectors of Showbiz soon, watch out! ”

The multitalented Charly D is an Actress, Songstress, Footballer and Table tennis player. Her two songs which are enjoying pampering on the playlists of top radio stations in the country are ‘No dulling’ and ‘Baby.’ Charly D takes inspiration from her mother. She has starred in Special Ice Mineral Water TV commercial and has featured in Shattered Romance and two popular soap operas; Office Palava on Viasat 1 and Island on DSTV.

In her own words “the future is so bright.”
