TV3 doctored the interview I granted to suit their agenda – Ken Agyapong

Kennedy-Agyapong

He was reported to have accused a vast number of successful Ghanaian businessmen as drug kingpins but the maverick politician and businessman, Kennedy Agyapong says there is some twist to what he allegedly said. The NPP MP for Assin Central estimated that, about 85 percent of home-grown businessmen are drug barons which he is excluded even though he has been accused by some individuals within the ruling National Democratic Congress [NDC] as a drug lord.

In an interview with an Accra-based private television network, Kennedy Agyapong was purported to have said that “You see, the drug dealers in the long run they save money. I will be honest with you; about 85% of the successful businessmen in this country one way or the other dealt in drugs. Therefore, they don’t believe that there are genuine businessmen in this country”.

“Of course. Hell no. As for relatives yes; my relatives have done it [drugs] and they linked me to it. But there are evidences there to show that I was not part of it. There were certain actions I took that when you go to the police, the record is there. So, me I am okay; I do a lot of things and I work hard”.

However, discussing the issue on OKAY FM’s “Ade Akye Ebia” programme, Ken accused the television station he granted the interview to as being “diabolic” after which he said his circulated video has been doctored.

“I am also in the media and I know what they are doing. They want to be diabolic and it will be very difficult for TV3 to get me to grant them another interview again. They doctored the video to suit their agenda.

“…Although I said all the things, it was based on the questions she asked me. But the doctored video is out there on the social media with silly comments. I forgive those people for they don’t know what they are doing…they will keep to be labourers in society forever,” he said.
