A former midfielder of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Michael Asante, is reported dead.
Asante, who also played for Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs, was one of the best defensive midfielders in the domestic Premier League during his days.
According to reports, the player passed away at the Elmina Hospital yesterday after battling an undisclosed ailment.
His remains have since been deposited at the morgue.
