I don’t think I’ll ever collaborate with secular Artiste – Noble Nketia

1907712_640809449354357_98422498169882916_n“Noble, would you ever collaborate with a secular Artiste?” www.233times.net asked seasoned Gospel Artiste Noble Nketia and his straight answer was “I don’t think so.”

Explaining why he would not want to have a cocktail song with secular Artiste, Noble Nketia revealed that “It depends, I write my music and do my music based on the passion and the inspiration that I build around the things that are around me. So you have to be in my spirit, you have to be in the same passion that I am in and I don’t think that … well, I can’t say it and I can’t speak for them and I can’t stand here and judge anybody but you really have to be in the same spirit that I am to be able to work with you.”

At the time www.233times.net was interviewing Noble Nketia, he had just recorded a song which he said he would feature Joyce Blessing on it. Asking him if any secular Artiste has ever crossed his mind during a recording or composing or have ever wanted a secular Rapper to be on his song, Noble answered “There are Christian Rappers around. I even did a song with Preachers, it’s a beautiful song. Like I said you have to be in the same spirit with me to be able to work with you. I’m not singling out anyone but the bottom line is, you have to be in the same kind of spirit with me to be able to work together.”

Asking him if he supports the cross-carpet collaboration between the secular and gospel Artistes, he said “Well I think they know better themselves and as what the scriptures say, taught us and direct us what to do, if God directs you that you should do this song with this person, that’s fine but if God has not directed you and you do so based on your own desire I think it is not right.”
