I need second chance to continue my good works – Obour

obour_musigaBice Osei Kuffor, Obour has disclosed on Rainbow radio that he did not agree with people saying he shouldn’t have used the VGMAs platform to make his intention known that he would be going for a second term, boasts about his achievement as the MUSIGA president and more.

Sections of the public have expressed their disapproval as to Obour using the VGMAs stage to voice out his presidential plans.

When asked by the host whether he has also heard those sentiments, he said, “As the president of MUSIGA, this is my last term in office, if you have listened well; I said that may be this would be my last time presenting an award. There were lots of entertainment journalists who kept worrying me as to whether I would vie for the MUSIGA president again and as well there were lots of my executives in there, so I just thought it wise to make my intention known to the whole world.”

On why he deserves a second term as a M USIGA president, he said, “I have done loads of work as a MUSIGA president; the records are there for all to see. I want to finish the good works that I’ve started so that whosoever that will take over from me will find stuffs easier for him; I deserve a second term, no two ways.”

When asked to mention the stuffs that he has done so far that he thinks he merit a second term in office, he said,
– The accountability that myself and other executives have brought to MUSIGA
– Institutionalization of Ageing Musicians Welfare.
– Setting up a MUSIGA Academy
– During my tenure in office, we’ve been able to sign a contract with Charterhouse; where we have a major stake when it comes to VGMAs now.

He again added those were very few of his achievement and that we will implement more and more before his tenure will expire as the MUSIGA president.
