Prez. Mahama bribed Konkomba Youth – Bugri Naabu

19084648.295The outspoken New Patriotic Party (NPP) Northern Regional Chairman, Daniel Bugri Naabu has accused President John Dramani Mahama of bribing the Konkomba Youth Association with a tractor.

According to him, President Mahama at this year’s Konkomba Youth Association’s congress in Saboba gave the youth a tractor and by extension the Saboba chief a pickup.

Daniel Bugri Naabu, who has incessantly accused President Mahama of sidelining Konkombas in his cabinet, described the President’s gesture as a desperate attempt to win the votes of the Konkomba community in 2016.

The Northern Regional NPP Chairman said no amount of influence by the President would change the minds of Konkombas to vote for the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) during the 2016 general elections.

“John Mahama take Konkombas and laugh at them by giving them a tractor for the Konkomba Youth Association and giving the chief a pickup and promising them; the promise will always come, nothing will happen. I am very sorry the Konkombas would never change their mind, they would never vote for the NDC again.”

President Mahama at the event also promised to construct the Yendi Saboba road but Daniel Bugri Naabu described it as cosmetic.

“He has been in office for almost eight years and all along the Saboba road is there untarred and yesterday again he said he would tar it and counted a number of roads when you haven’t even paid contractors who executed government projects.”

The NPP Northern Region Chairman insisted that President Mahama has sidelined his kinsmen in his government.

“Even today if he should give a Konkomba ministerial appointment is because we the opposition members find it very wrong: for more than nine MPs coming from Konkomba areas have not been given anything how many years now, now if you come and give them even a minister how many days is he left in office, is useless.”

“I am very sorry the Konkombas would never change their mind: they would never vote for NDC this time,” Naabu remarked.
