“This is not a civil case, it is a criminal case and we are investigating it. Please don’t (to a nurse) allow any media man here because I heard they are having some debate on radio about it and all. I don’t want to see any media man here. If I see any media man here we will deal with him/her” Superintendent Reuben Asiwoko, the Western Regional Crime Officer directed the nurses at the Ghana ports and Harbour Authority (GPHA) hospital.
As at the time Superintendent Reuben Asiwoko was entering the female/maternity ward to see the Y FM Presenter, Ada, the media personnel at the hospital followed him to the ward. The nurses at the facility wondering why so many people were trooping into the ward started asking “where are you from, who are you? Are you part of the CID?” amongst other questions.
Upon a revelation by one of the media men that he is from a popular radio station, the infuriated Regional Crime Officer, directed the nurses not to allow any media man around the hospital. He declared the hospital a security zone and any media man who is seen around would be dealt with.
Adaeze Onyinyechie Ayoka known on air as Princess Ada was allegedly abducted by some unknown men who circulated her nude pictures online yesterday. The photos which were posted by the abductors using her phone included photos of them cutting off her hair and gang-raping her.
