I only wanted Damilola for fling but… — Chris Attoh

46129386_385138.pngGhanaian actor, Chris Attoh and his Nigerian actress-wife, Damilola Adegbite, met on the set of a popular cable television series, Tinsel, some years ago. They later kicked off a relationship that has now blossomed into marriage. Today, they have a child together.

Recounting how he met her, Chris Attoh revealed in an interview with Happenings that he did not plan to get married to his wife but he was only determined to get a piece of her and move on.

“I will not lie to you, maybe the most I thought of was, I have got to have some of that. But if someone said at that time that she would be my wife, I would probably have said, ‘You are joking’,” he said.

The actor also said that, “The first day I saw Damilola, she had a way of entering a room and stealing all the attention and so there was no way I could not have noticed her.

“But working to together, living together and growing up as a family, I have to say that God has blessed us in our relationship. You know, I have learnt to be her friend, the man in her life and right now I enjoy being her husband.”

Meanwhile, Chris has disclosed the main reason he left Tinsel.

He said, “It was time now to start making that journey towards directing which is why I got into acting in the first place and I could not do that on Tinsel because it was very demanding.

“Well, Tinsel will always be the training ground that I’m always grateful to but like every other job, we outgrow it and after eight years of shooting Tinsel, it was time to move on because I wanted to do other things.”

He played the character of Kwame Mensha on Tinsel and has had other roles in ‘Shuga’, ‘Single and Married’ and ‘Flower Girl’.
