The Italians are pushing ahead with plans to sign Toure and are drawing up a three-year contract offer worth around £4.3million a season after tax.
Although 31-year-old Toure is looking for a longer deal, they make reach a compromise with an extra one-year option
Inter expect Toure to confirm to City that he wishes to leave over the next week as the season reaches its finale.
City insist they will not be pushed into any transfer but they are planning to bring in younger players for next season with Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba and Wolfsburg’s Kevin de Bruyne among their targets.
Inter also remain keen on Stevan Jovetic but will struggle to meet City’s £20m asking price, while Liverpool are showing interest in Edin Dzeko. — PA
