This was after a clinical psychologist assigned to her at the police hospital reported that suspect Ada aka Princess Ada was mentally unstable.

Suspect Ada is still on admission at the police hospital after the case broke out on April 13, 2015.

ASP Effia Tengey, the Accra regional police public relations officer in an interview with the paper said Princess Ada is receiving psychiatric treatment but under police protection at the hospital.

“The suspect is still on admission at the police hospital while the Psychiatrist attends to her on daily basis,” she added.

She said when the psychiatrist has finished with his treatment, and the report of her condition is out, the police will then know what to do.

Meanwhile, her accomplice, Nelson William, aka Iddrisu, an 18 year old painter arrested on April 14, 2015, is on bail while undergoing trial at the Kaneshie Magistrate court.

Ada and four other people reportedly staged the rape and kidnapping scene at a hotel at Abossey Okai in Accra as told by the police and corroborated by the hotel owner in a later interview with DAILY GUIDE.

I.J Frimpong, the owner of Joeregi Hotel located at the heart of the Abossey Okai spare market said he rented out the hotel room to Ada and her gang for staging a movie.

She was seen naked with an accomplice on her in a posture that caused public outrage. It turned out that the scene was staged.

ASP Effia Tengey, Accra Regional Police Public Relations Officer told journalists  on April  16, 2015  that  Nelson, who is a painter by profession said  the act was staged by five persons including Ada  herself, another lady friend and two other boys in a hotel near Abossey Okai in Accra.
