The third suspect in the Adams Mahama murder trial has also been charged with murder, Starr News’ Wilberforce Asare has reported from court.
Essa Musa, according to the prosecution, was the one who went to purchase the acid which was used in the attack which led to the death of the Upper East regional chair of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The Accra magistrate court hearing the case denied the bail application by his lawyers and adjourned the case to June 9.
Greggory Afoko, brother to the NPP’s national chairman Paul Afoko is also standing trial for the crime.
Mr Mahama died at the Bolgatanga regional hospital after he was acid attacked while returning from his construction site late in the night on May 20, 2015.
He was buried on Saturday May 23, 2015.
