Sayvee’s ‘Wei Soh’ song has come under scads of criticisms in Accra after some media labelled the title of the song as profane. According to the Management of the Artiste, some media in Accra have refused to play the song because of the title.
Explaining to www.233times.net , Sayvee said there is nothing profane about ‘Wei Soh.’ Sayvee maintain that, in Takoradi, ‘Wei soh’ is a phrase people shout out as they laugh at the fall of their colleagues. “Just ask anyone who is in Takoradi what wei soh means and you will know that, it is not profane at all. Some TV stations in Accra said they can’t play the song because of the title. I heard in Ga, it means something different but if you will listen to the song, you will know that the lyrics has nothing profane in it. It is actually Gospel lyrics” Sayvee said.
In the song, Sayvee explains that, serving God is not just by going to church but doing the right things God requires from us. He advised the youth to wait upon the Lord and desist from seeking spiritual powers elsewhere. He says in the song that short cuts which are Satan’s ways are always dangerous.
After working with the likes of Sarkodie, Castro, Keche and Kwabena Kwabena, hiplife artiste, Kweku Adzika aka SayVee is confident of making it with his latest song, Wei Soh.
Other songs he has to his credit are Fantefo Na Brofoa and 1 Ghana and Today Be Today.
