“All Herbert Addo does is stake lotto” – Hearts fans

HerbAddoWhy is the lotto doctor not rich?

That’s a question for the ages. But for some supporters of Hearts of Oak, who are seeing their club unable to cobble together consistent wins, this is no joke.

Apparently, Herbert Addo is a lotto don.

“We always see Herbert Addo holding a pen and looking through papers but as opposed to our initial thought that he was seeking new formations and tactics to avert the team’s poor form, he was rather working lotto plans!”

That was the refrain of some fans who called into Happy FM’s radio show on Monday.

This follows the club’s first loss to Hasaacas this century on Sunday, a 2-1 defeat in Accra.

The Phobians are 12th in the league, and there are just nine games to go. Even worse, they’ve taken just two points from their last four games.

On Joy FM’s Sports Track on Monday, the calls did not have to do with lotto, but some popular fans wanted his head.

“I have never liked his tactics and he is not in tune with the modern game,” complained Kassim Awal, Chairman of the powerful Chapter O supporters wing of the club told Joy Sports.

“It is true the materials we have are not really good but his selections have been inconsistent enough for us to see that he is a major problem,” said Aziz Yaro, a member of the popular Madina Chapter.

But in all this, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe thinks sacking the experienced coach will not help.

“The materials are not good and if they are not good, what can Herbert really do? Sacking him is not the answer,” reasoned the Hearts board member.

The Phobians’ next league game is away at Aduana after this weekend’s FA Cup semi with Medeama.
