Dr. Sulley Ali-Gabass gets 25 yrs

Dr. Sulley Ali-Gabass, a senior medical doctor at the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Takoradi has been sentenced to 25 years in jail.

Dr. Al-Gabass has been standing trial for sodomizing a minor.

The Cocoa Affairs Court presided over by Mrs. Rita Agyeman-Budu Monday morning made a final ruling on the pending case.

Repoprting from the court, Peace FM’s Agya Kwabena recounted that the judge said there was evidence of school records that confirms the victim is below 18 years despite the argument by the defendant that he was older.

Dr. Sulley Ali- Gabass was in custody over a two-count charge of defiling a child under 16 years and unnatural carnal knowledge, an offence he denied.

He was aquited and discharged on the second count of unatural carnal knowledge.

He was alleged to have had unnatural carnal knowledge of his victim between the months of October 2013 and April 2014.

Dr. Sulley Ali-Gabass, a senior medical officer at Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Takoradi, had anal sex with a 16-year-old senior secondary school student who has now been diagnosed of HIV/AIDS.
