MPs will pass “same sex marriage” law if given $1m

f2e54e44e8e7bdced7287cc9eb52164e_LFormer NPP Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency chairman, Michael Omare Wadie has said Ghanaian parliamentarians can easily be bought to pass into law same sex marriage just like what the Americans are practicing now.

He explained that should each Member of Parliament be given “$1 million” [3,459,880.90 GHS] – the law will be passed without any difficulties.

The NPP man who was speaking on Accra-based Kasapa FM opined that, homophiles are – “very powerful, influential and rich” – they can buy our politicians to pass the law.

“The other day I was having a chat with somebody… how many MPS do we have? 275 I believe so. Now if the gay people are able to convince the President and we take it to parliament, and these gays say they are giving each MP one million dollars for them to sign, I tell you they will come out to declare Ghana a gay state,” he said on Kasapa FM.

Mr Omari Wadie however joined the chorus to mount pressure on President John Dramni Mahama to declare Ghana’s position on the same sex marriage.

Whiles President Mahama is yet to declare his stance, Omare Wadie lauded former President Prof. John Evan Atta Mills for rejecting the homosexuality call some years back – “Late President Mills made his position clear on the issue. All we are asking for is for President Mahama to do same; this is all we ask for”.

Adding that; “I think it is important we get some official position on this issue from officialdom. If the leader speaks the followers obey and respect”.
