Andre Ayew and his Swansea City team’s tour in Germany got underway on Sunday afternoon as the squad settled into their camp in the picturesque town of Grassau.
After touching down in Munich, Ayew and his teammates made the short journey to their base before gathering for their evening meal.
The squad will be put through demanding double training sessions – starting Monday – ahead of Wednesday’s opening tour friendly match.
Swansea will offer the first glimpses of that quality with their first games of this pre-season in Germany as they take on Champions League qualifiers Borussia Monchengladbach in Grassau on Wednesday before facing German second-tier team 1860 Munich at the Grunwalder Stadion on Saturday.
Ayew, who signed for Swansea on a free transfer from Marseille in June, has been joined by French full-back Franck Tabanou, £5m Portugal striker Eder and Sweden international goalkeeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt as manager GaryMonk got his wish for increased competition in his ranks for the coming campaign.
