Guru wins Ghana Musician of the year at City People’s Awards

80A183022_00000-682x1024For the second time in 3 years, Nana Yaw Adjei Maradonna, known in Showbiz as Guru has won Ghana Musician of the year (Male category) in the prestigious City People’s Awards in Nigeria.

Battling big wigs like Edem, Stonebwouy, Sarkodie, Sonnie Badu and Daddy Lumba, Guru was announced the winner for the category last Saturday, 15th August, 2015 at the Time Square in Ekeja, Lagos, Nigeria.

Speaking to www.233times.net, Manager of Guru, Ray Moni expressed his gratitude to the fans of Guru, “You know we have loyal fans in Ghana who would go extra mile to make sure we are up there. If you look at the contenders in that category, you will know how well we did. Our gratitude to the Ghanaian and Nigerian fans; they always make it happen” Ray Moni exoressed.

According to another top Management Member of Guru, Cedis, who was present at the award ceremony, he also attributed the success to the fans. “We have reached this acme by the help of the ardent fans who are always there for us, they are very loyal that is why in 3 years, we have won twice” Cedis said.

Guru is set to distribute over 10,000 stationeries to School Pupils across Ghana. The project is dubbed ‘Education for all.’
