No urinal and toilet facility at STMA Stores in Sekondi

The is the make-shift place serving as the urinal for the stores staff

The structure that houses the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA) stores in Sekondi, has no proper toilet facility, www.233times.net checks reveal.

Interestingly, it is the very department that purchases, stores and supplies all items needed by the Metro Assembly for its day to day running. Checks made by Skyy Power FM’s Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson at the place revealed the only urinal in the offices has been locked up for so many years because it is totally out of use whilst the only obsolete toilet facility there (the ‘hwii tom’ type) is in a deplorable state.

Members of staff have to board vehicle to the STMA main office which is about 400 meters away to make themselves convenient whenever nature calls. Sources also say funds are provided annually for the rehabilitation of such facilities in the District, Municipal and Metro Assemblies across the nation yet nothing has been done at the STMA stores in Sekondi for more than 7 years,
