Our MP is the most truant – Amenfi East Youth

mr-akwasi-oppong-fosu1A Youth Group calling itself Progressive Youth for Change in the Amenfi East in the Western Region is calling on voters in the constituency to show the current Member of Parliament (MP), Akwasi Oppong Fosu who doubles as Minister of State at the Presidency the exit during next year’s election.

The Youth accuses the MP for reneging on his promises made to them during election 2012 which include frequent visit to communities and briefing them on proceedings in parliament on the state of the constituency.

Speaking to Skyy Power FM’s Jolly Breakfast Show (JBS), Odame Antwi Boasiako, spokesperson for the group says the MP has failed to attend several durbars in the constituency and that is one of the causes of his anger.

After a cursory study of parliamentary hansard captured the MP as one of the habitual absentees in parliament.
