“When I was asked how much I would charge for the song I did for the NDC back then, I said, oh forget it and they didn’t give me anything for the song. But when someone says forget it, it entails a lot, I wasn’t given any money then” Jewel Ackah revealed.
Jewel Ackah clarified that he didn’t advice the new crop of Artistes not to compose songs for political parties in Ghana but they should be cautious in taking that dicey step. “They should think about it before doing it, the money aspect is important so if you do the song and you are not given the money, things won’t go well” Jewel Ackah clarified.
“It is now that the NDC party is taking care of me, ‘John (Mahama) Adawuroma.’ From the beginning, things weren’t going well but it is now that, the NDC party is taking care of me because of the songs I did back then. When I composed the song then, I wasn’t given anything. I was asked how much I would take and I said they should forget it but when someone says forget it, it entails a lot” Jewel Ackah said.
Jewel Ackah also said he is a member of the NDC, “I have always been a member of the Member of the NDC” Jewel Ackah maintained.
“They take very good care of me, John Adawuroma,” Jewel Ackah concluded with a live interview with Feeling Daddy on ‘Penpenaa,’ a weekly entertainment programme on Spice FM in Takoradi.
