A 25-year-old unemployed graduate, Solomon Adu Kwaakye, from Kofiase in the Mampong Municipality, on Saturday defied security just so he could present his application letter and curriculum vitae (CV) to the First Lady Lordina Mahama for a job.
Mrs Mahama was at Asante Mampong to launch an HIV prevention campaign.
In an interview with journalists, Mr Kwaakye said he completed the University for Development Studies in 2013 with a B.sc in Environmental Science but after National Service, he has written 30 fruitless application letters to many places in his job hunt.
He said, his parents are aged and poor farmers who find it very difficult to continue to take care of him and his siblings, and so when he heard of the visit of the First Lady to Mampong, he took money from his father to prepare his letter and CV to be presented to her with the hope that through that he could get a job.
