Gifty ‘Beyonce’ Osei: Why would a Gospel Artiste wear hip pad?

gifty-osei“I want to gain weight to look good in the kaba and slit that I wear. When you wear a dress and the dress doesn’t look skimpy on you, you might be well dressed but you won’t look good in it” a lady friend’s reason for wanting to gain weight.

Hitherto, Gospel Artistes were seen as people who don’t pay attention to fashion, they were inundated in the message than their appearance. Recently, fashion is one pivotal aspect of Showbiz and regardless of how talented you are, if you don’t present yourself well, you will be treated beneath contempt. The Bloggers would even feed on your case like a dog which has found a meat. That’s why Ama Boahemaa would drink milk to tone her complexion (colour).

Gifty Osei is reported to have put on hip pad during a performance at the MUSIGA Grand Ball held at the State House in Accra over the weekend. Why would a Gospel Artiste put on hip pad? Who pays attention to the curves of a Gospel Artiste? In what interest would a Gospel Artiste wear a hip pad to a show? These questions pinged my mind when I saw the pictures.

From the pictures circulated online, Gifty Osei was ‘Too much’ in the slit that she wore. Those who are expert in assessing curves of women educate how she should look in the dress if it wasn’t the hip pad that she was wearing. Indeed anyone without experience in that field would obviously see the hip pad traces.

In an earlier report, Gifty Osei is said to have likened herself to Beyonce, Yes! Mrs. Carter, Blue Ivy’s mum and Jay Z’s curvaceous wife. If she is modeling Beyonce in Ghana, it makes sense if she is attracting the ‘Peace-Hyde’ curves to her body. Gifty receive it in Jesus name!

Until she has spoken to address this, we could only wish her the best in her ‘curve wishes.’

The unanswered question now is, why would a Gospel Artiste wear a hip pad? For what?
