Kyeiwaa divorces ‘one week husband’

G2AoyHLKumawood actress, Rose Mensah, known as Kyeiwaa has parted ways with her ‘newly’ found lover, Akwasi Bronya, a week into their controversial marriage.


The actress, speaking on Adom TV on Thursday evening said she has had to swallow the bitter pill of divorce as a result of the ranging controversy surrounding the Kumasi-based businessman who she married last weekend. “I have given back his drink to him and he has accepted because I can’t afford to be a second wife…I prefer to remain single than to do that…,” Kyeiwaa said in an interview. The celebrated local actress traditionally married the Kumasi-based businnessman at a ceremony which was attended by several persons from her industry.


Several persons celebrated their marriage as the actress had been single thoughout her 52 years on earth. Joy they say, has a slender body and that was exactly the case of Akua Ataa after Adomonline.com broke the news that the husband was married to one Florence Kyei, with whom he had two children – a male and a female. The wife, in an exclusive interview with Adomonline.com’s Kwaku Nti denied that she had divorced the husband claiming further that her husband made love to her on the night he married the Kumawood actress. “Isn’t your husband supposed to sleep by your side during your wedding night, but he came over and slept with me…,” she claimed.


The ranging controversy, the actress said has compelled her to part ways with the man. According to her, she was told by Akwasi Bronya that he never married Florence Kyei and that they were just living together. “And this, I found out, was untrue and I can’t afford to have a rival so my decision to divorce him…,” she said.
