It will surprise many to know that, Gender Minister, Nana Oye Lithur could not file her parliamentary nominations to represent the people of Shama Constituency in Ghana’s next parliament.
Nana Oye Lithur who was spoilt for choice as to which constituency to contest finally settled on Shama Constituency. Speaking to Omanbapa Kofi Amoah on Skyy Power FM’s Jolly Breakfast Show (JBS), Justice Kofi Ahiave, campaign Coordinator of Oye Lithur revealed that, Nana Oye Lithur’s parliamentary dream came to an abrupt end after they had difficulties getting Branch Executives of the party to sign the forms.
Justice Ahiave said the supporters of the Gender Minister were thrown into a state of wailing after the deadline for submission was up.
The incumbent MP for Shama, Gabriel Kojo Essilfie will be going unopposed in the primaries.
