Prez. Mahama’s final reshuffle in November

350371093_194790As President John Dramani Mahama’s government inches to the final year of its four year mandate, information reaching The aL-hAJJ indicates the genteel and humble President is gearing up to announce what Flag Staff House sources described as final reshuffle of his government ahead elections in November 2016.

Deep throat sources at the seat of government hinted this paper that the “new appointees”, who are to lead President Mahama’s final onslaught in office, will be released in November, adding that “the President has almost concluded on ministers and deputy ministers and chief executives to be reshuffled.”

“Don’t be surprised to see some new faces…likewise some ministers and deputy ministers will swap positions while a few others may be asked to take early shower. Those who would retain their portfolios or swap positions will be charged to continue with the good work the president is doing, and improve upon it significantly so that Ghanaians will feel the touch of his government,” a source at the Flag Staff House revealed.

Although the source confirmed that some of the ministries that have not tasted reshuffle since the President ascended to the highest throne of the land are likely to be affected this time round, the impending reshuffle, the paper has gathered, will also be extended to include regional ministers, their deputies and chief executives and boards members of public corporations.

The source further revealed that President Mahama’s soon-to-be announced reshuffle, apart from ensuring that his government is well positioned to retain power in 2016, is also expected to bring more bite into the government to ensure it ends the four-year mandate on a high note.
This is contrary to claims that the President wrapped up the restructuring of his administration in his first term in office with the not-long-ago announced ministerial reshuffle and changes at some state managed corporations.

“I can confirm to you that an elaborate version of the reshuffle is in the offing and it will be the President’s final reshuffle for his first term. As usual it will focus on ministers, their deputies, regional ministers and chief executives and boards, but that notwithstanding, some ministries that have not been touched since President Mahama was sworn into office are also likely to be affected. I won’t mention names, you know it. Anybody who tells you that His Excellency has concluded the reshuffle is peddling lies,” an ally of the President told this paper.

The source added that “you know election is just next year so His Excellency wants to reinvigorate his administration in preparation for the 2016 election. He has kept the names close to his chest but in November we will get to know those who will be affected and those who will join government.”
