8-yr-old boy found dead and headless

ghana-policeThe body of an eight- year old boy, declared missing at Dzita, was found headless in the Detor lagoon near Anyanui in the Keta Municipality of the Volta Region.

The name of the boy, a pupil of the local basic school, is Emmanuel Kuna Yali.

The body had been deposited at the Akatsi Hospital morgue while police are investigating the matter.

Meanwhile parents of the deceased are being interrogated.

Mr George Kofi Zoryiku, Unit Committee Secretary of the area told the GNA the murder of the pupils has made residents nervous.

A police source said two other persons have been reported missing.

He said a female lunatic whose yells attracted people was also found with cuts and rushed to the hospital, treated and discharged.
