Actress Yvonne Nelson has complained of receiving threatening messages and warnings from persons who want her to drop the police report she filed against a man who recently physically assaulted her at a birthday party.
The actress has lodged a complaint at the Airport Police Station in Accra over the threats she received in connection with the recent assault she suffered at the hands of a man whose name was given as Elvis Eze and said to be a Nigerian resident in Accra.
“…By tomorrow morning if we call Accra and find out that you have not closed that case you opened against our brother, then we will start our own news; I personally will make sure it happens…,” one of the messages read.
The actress said she further received a series of messages from a Nigerian number warning her to withdraw the case from the police station else she would be dealt with.
Yvonne was last Saturday assaulted by Elvis Eze, aka Elvis Casino, for refusing to hug him at a party organised by fellow actress Ingrid Alabi.
The Airport police are yet to make an arrest as the assailant is on the run.
Meanwhile early Sunday morning, an elderly man, who identified himself as owner of the house Elvis was staying in, promised to bring him to the police. But he has since not done that. It is currently unclear what the police’s next line of action will be.
