Black Stars holds final training in Accra

KampalatrainThe Black Stars will hold their final training session at the Accra Sports Stadium today before leaving for Comoros for the Friday’s World Cup qualifier.

The four-time African champions started training last Monday in Accra in preparation towards Friday’s game against Comoros.

The field at the Accra Sports Stadium was bushy making training difficult for the team on Monday but Management Committee Chairman, George Afriyie instructed the field managers at the Dansoman Liberty Park to mow it.

Tuesday’s training session saw the players kicking freely as the mowed field gave them better movement and passing accuracy.

All the 23 players invited by the former Chelsea boss, Avram Grant are all in camp and they will be holding their final training session at the Accra Sports Stadium at exactly 4pm.

The Black Stars will thus enplane to Comoros this evening for the first leg tie of the 2018 World Cup qualifier.

Ghana will be playing Comoros in the first leg of the 2018 World Cup qualifier on Friday with the return leg scheduled for the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on the 17th of November.
