Takoradi traders have low expectations for 2015 Christmas

XMAS.mp4_20151104_134148.875We have entered the month of November and it is assumed that businesses will start stocking up in preparation for Christmas sales. Shoppers who wish to avoid the increase in prices in the month of December may also wish to have an early start in Christmas shopping.

Last year, stocking up was quite late at the central business district of Takoradi as the traders complained of lack of capital to do so. Some also said they hesitated because business was not good.

On Tuesday, Star News paid a visit to the area to find out if the situation will be any different this year. Our first impression was business as usual. Decorations have still not been brought out and the popular confectioneries associated with the festive season have not picked up in sales.
