Stephen Appiah holds birthday party in Karpower barge

The operators of the Karpower badge vessel in Ghana threw a surprise birthday party for former Ghana captain Stephen Appiah at their base in Tema.

The floating power vessel, from Turkey, has been rented by the Ghana government for a ten-year period to solve the country’s energy crises.

Appiah is still loved in Turkey after a successful three-year spell with giants Fenerbahce.

It is being rumoured that the club partly funds the 225 megawatts producing capacity.

He was taken on a tour of the floating power vessel.
