A senior citizen of the Western Region and ex member of Ghana Navy, Mr. Morrison who is in his mid 80s has commended some of the new crop of Artistes who are pushing Western Region music far, particularly Saviour Adzika known in Showbiz as Sayvee.
‘Intruding’ into a live interview on Kyzz FM last two weekends when a popular weekend Entertainment review programme was aired, Mr. Morrison who has been with the Bethel Methodist Choir for more than 60 years said he is overwhelmed by how well Sayvee is doing in the music industry. The ex-Naval officer who was poked by the statement of Sayvee that ‘The best comes from the West’ historically detailed how that statement came about.
“The show was ongoing, a live show and we just saw him enter the studio to commend me and my colleagues for what we are doing for the Region. Honestly I was surprised to know that 80 year old man has been following my works and is impressed with what I am doing. I am so humbled by that and it has galvanised me to do better than I’m doing” the overwhelmed Artiste, Sayvee told www.233times.net.
Hailed as the Corporate Artiste, Sayvee who is about to release a hiphop song with Sarkodie next month is the composer of the popular ‘Wei Soh’ and ‘Obolo lady’ with Nero X, ‘Body’ with Ruff and Smooth and ‘Tomawondzi.’
