John Legend Producer in Ghana to collaborate with Okyeame Kwame

US-based Ghanaian music producer, Nana Kwabena Tuffour, who has produced international artistes like John Legend and Jidenna among others, is in the country to work on a number of songs with Okyeame Kwame.

The two will work on a number of  Okyeame Kwame’s singles to be released this year as well as on a joint charity project being initiated by Okyeame.

Okyeame Kwame is a multiple award winning musician and a fine rapper who churned out hits such as “Faithful,” “Sika,” and “Woara,” featuring Raquel and currently, “Small Small,” featuring Mzvee.

The celebrated hip-life artiste, who disclosed his plan of releasing a number of singles onto the music market this year, said he was looking for the opportunity to have collaborations with a number of international artistes in the coming years.

The renowned musician last year had collaborations with Nigeria’s J Martins and a few African artistes on his ‘African Connection’ album.

According to Okyeame, he believes in doing something extraordinary to satisfy his numerous music fans in Ghana and beyond.

He has disclosed that his dream this year is to work extra hard and make an impact on the international music scene, adding that he hopes to make more impact first on the African market before going international.

Kwame, whose activities in the music industry have undoubtedly inspired many music fans, is gradually making his way to the top of the music chart as the number of his fans keeps increasing every day.

To him, what had kept him shining on the Ghanaian music scene had been his tireless determination to reach the top.

Okyeame Kwame won three awards at the 2009 Ghana Music Awards (GMA), including Artiste of the Year 2009. He currently holds a bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages (Akan option) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital.
