4712755526053_3304593872123Police in the Jomoro District of the Western Region have arrested a 42-year-old man for allegedly defiling his 17-year old daughter.

Anthony Tameklo, a clearing agent at the Elubo border is reported to be having sexual intercourse with his first daughter from 2013 until now.

The victim said her father had sexual encounters with her twice or thrice every week. His last sexual affair with her was on Sunday January 10, 2016.

According to the victim, it all started when she was sent from Aflao to Elubo in 2013 to stay with her father.

She said her father forcefully slept with her after enquiring if she had a boyfriend, to which she replied no.

Anthony Tameklo, according to his daughter said the only way he would believe if she had a boyfriend or not was if she lay in his bed for him to find out himself.

The 17-year-old victim said she was in pain the whole night and the following morning after sleeping with her father.

She told police she bled profusely the following morning.

She reported her ordeal to her mother who is based at Aflao but visits Elubo periodically.

This resulted in a fight between both parents and the father denying the act.

Following the departure of the victim’s mother, Anthony Tameklo threatened to cut off one of his daughter’s ear if she ever mentioned the incident to her mother again.

According to the victim, her father beats her mercilessly whenever she tried to resist or refuse his sexual advances.

When neighbours confronted and questioned why he continuously beats up his daughter, his defence was that she was chasing men.

Sometimes, he gave her sleeping tablets – which she ignorantly took and slept off – allowing him to have his way with her.

She however notices she has been touched in the morning due to pain in her abdomen and spots of blood on the bed and fluid in her underwear.

The victim has a lot of assault marks all over her body with a swollen right arm as a result of an “electric wire” used by her father to beat her before their last sexual encounter.

Anthony Tameklo, admitted the offence and blamed it on his “unstable” wife and also on a spiritual attack from his enemies.

According to him, he realised what he was doing was evil and devilish and asked his pastors for deliverance just when the police arrested him.

The victim has been sent to Half Assini Government Hospital for examination and treatment.

The suspect is currently in police custody.  After investigation, will be put before court for defilement and incest, police say.
