PHOTOS: #PiloloGH repaints defaced zebra crossing in Sekondi/Takoradi

Pilolo GH, a Sekondi/Takoradi based volunteer youth group dedicated to the development of the Western Region has repainted almost all the defaced Zebra Crossings in the Sekondi/Takoradi Metropolis. This is the second time within 3 months the group has embarked on this commendable initiative.

The group, mostly constituted by indigenous young unemployed graduates has taken upon its self to fish out some important but long forgotten and abandoned projects within the Region, solicit for funds from individuals and philanthropists to execute them.

The current zebra crossing repainting were done at 8 different locations namely; Sekondi Library, Kweikuma Junction, Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital, Takoradi Polytechnic Main Gate, Takoradi Technical Institute and Effiakuma Bus Stop.

The first initiative which was undertaken in September 2015 covered Bethel Methodist School, Badu Addo and Young Christian Preparatory School Junction as well as Dadzie Bakery Area in the Central Business District Area; all which are very crucial to Basic School children.

The group is now targeting the repainting of many of the public school buildings that have been left untouched for many decades.

The exercise which was undertaken on Saturday, January 2, 2016 was supported by the National Road Safety Commission led by the Regional Boss, Bismark Boakye especially with the technical aspects.
