Sumaila asked me to orchestrate Akaminko’s pre-world cup injury – Spiritualist

399183694_167398A spiritualist, Mallam Isaka Salia has claimed to have played a part in a chronic injury sustained by Ghana defender Jerry Akamimko in May 2014 after he was directed by the Kuwaiti-based defender, Rashid Sumaila to spiritually orchestrate the injury of his colleague to allow the latter get a place in the Black Stars squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Akaminko who was a sure bet of securing a position in Ghana’s team for the World Cup in Brazil would always curse his stars after sustaining a setback in the team’s pre-World Cup friendly against the Netherlands.

The 26-year-old twisted his ankle after landing awkwardly on his feet having gone in for a harmless challenge with Arjen Rooben late in the game.

The injury however saw the end of Akaminko’s dream of playing at the World Cup just three days for the competition to kick start in Brazil.

His absence automatically paved way for Sumaila to get his way into the final 23-man squad named by then Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah.

Mallam Isaka Salia a renowned spiritualist-based in the Western Region of Ghana claims he was directed by the Al Qadsia man(Rashid Sumaila) to perpetuate the injury of his colleague in other to enable him get a place in the team.

“He came to me for assistance ahead of the World Cup and I promised to help him,” Malam Isaka told Takoradi-based Kyzz FM.

“I told him he could only get a position in the squad if one of the center backs is injured. He accepted and asked me to do it to Jerry Akaminko.

“So I made sure Akaminko was injured so that Rashid’s name will be in the squad.

“I am now saying this publicly because he has failed to pay me,” Malam Isaka added.”

The injury ruled Akaminko out of active football for close to a year.
