Why I rewarded Taxi Driver with a house – Prez. Mahama

e5758866591bea5b57596355a4b755e9_LPresident John Dramani Mahama has given reasons for his decision to reward Nana Yaw, the ‘brave’ taxi driver with a house.

Nana Yaw, a taxi driver has been in the news lately after he foiled a robbery attack at Cantonments in Accra on Saturday.

In a media briefing at the Flagstaff House in Accra on Tuesday, the President said anybody who demonstrates a bravery and heroic act must be rewarded; ‘it is done in other countries’.

“I am grateful the Vice President hosted him…and I directed that he should be given a three-bedroom apartment at the affordable housing estate…the police has also promised to repair his taxi”.

The President also expressed gratitude to Koala for offering to purchase a new taxi for Nana Yaw.
