8e486cb7b379ec2fffff8051ffffd524Newly inducted Headmaster of the Ghana Secondary Technical School (G.S.T.S) Samuel Kofi Essel says he will use the next three years to build a system that will ensure that over ninety percent of final year students get distinction anytime they write the West African Senior School Certificate Examination.

Mr. Kofi Essel was outlining his vision for the school at his induction ceremony. He becomes the 22nd headmaster of the school after succeeding Ashford Adams. Until his appointment, Mr. Kofi Essel was the assistant headmaster of the Tarkwa Senior High School in charge of academics. The induction ceremony saw in attendance members of the school’s board of directors, officials from the Western Region Education Directorate, the clergy, past and present students, family and friends and other well-wishers. Various speakers reminded the new headmaster of the enviable academic laurels the school has achieved.

They encouraged him to work assiduously to, if not sustain, improve education standards at the school. Mr. Essel in an address said he is going to run an open door administration that will take on board any suggestion including suggestions from the students.

The 1986 past students presented eight knapsacks, PPEs, disinfectants and sixty encyclopedia books worth five thousand and five hundred cedis to the school. They pledged to support the new headmaster to ensure that the school continues to achieve more laurels.
