Eastern Region: Lightning strikes girl to death

Lightning-Strikes-620x400A 15-year-old Junior High School student who was struck dead by lightening in the Ehiamankyene community in the Fanteakwa District of the Eastern region has been buried.

The JHS three student, whose named has been concealed by residents of the community, died some days ago when she was struck during a rainfall.

She was rushed to the hospital after the attack but was declared dead on arrival, Starr News’ Kojo Ansah has reported.

The development has thrown the entire community into a state of shock and grief.

Many of them believe the misfortune was a spiritual attack.

The body of the minor was not sent home for viewing as custom demands before burial Friday.

A worried resident of the community Bismark Amgbor, told Starr News people in the area can no longer stand the sight of rain and thunder.
